This feature is planned for training release on 27th September 2025.

As a brand working to ensure EUDR compliance, you now have a more streamlined and reliable experience managing Due Diligence Statements (DDS). Recent enhancements make it easier to preserve the integrity of supplier-submitted data, evaluate production risks, and submit approved DDS records directly to the EU TRACES platform through the TrusTrace system.

Key Updates

  • Editable Fields Restricted to Metadata on Generated DDS Records: The user interface for generated DDS records has been updated to support a more controlled editing experience. The following changes are now in effect:
    1. Only selected metadata fields can be edited:
      • Internal Reference ID
      • Activity
      • Operator Details
      • Additional Information
    2. Compliance-related fields such as commodity, geolocation, and harvest details are now read-only to maintain data accuracy and traceability. **
    3. Editable and non-editable fields are clearly differentiated to help users navigate the interface with ease.
  • Direct Submission of DDS to EU TRACES: You can now submit a DDS directly to the EU TRACES system after completing an internal review and confirming compliance. The system uses your registered EU TRACES credentials to authenticate and transmit the DDS securely. If there are any issues, such as invalid payloads or authentication failures, clear error messages are shown.
  • Country Risk Visibility in DDS Generator: The DDS Generator and Farm Deforestation Risk pages now display country risk levels to support more informed compliance decisions. This visibility helps identify origin-country risks early and contributes to defensible due diligence and audit readiness.
    1. Country Risk values are shown for each production country based on the EU Commission’s official classification list.
    2. Risk levels are displayed as follows using a simple color code:
      • Risk Values – When available, risk levels appear as Low, Medium, or High. Country-level risks are shown as Low (Green), Standard (Orange), or High (Red)
      • NA (Not Applicable) – Displayed when no farm data is declared, or when risk cannot be calculated due to missing information like coordinates.
      • Not Available – Displayed when a country is not listed in the EU benchmark or when the risk value is missing due to pending assessments.

Key Benefits

  • Improved Data Integrity: Supplier-submitted compliance data is protected from modification, preserving traceability and ensuring trustworthy submissions.
  • Simplified Regulatory Submission: You can now complete the review and submission process to EU TRACES within the platform, reducing manual work and fulfilling EUDR requirements.
  • Better Risk Evaluation: Country Risk indicators help prioritize high-risk declarations for further review or verification.
  • User-Friendly Experience: The interface now focuses on editable fields, reducing visual clutter, and helping users navigate more efficiently
  • Clear and Auditable Records: Submission logs include Timestamps, DDS IDs, and TRACES responses, supporting audits and regulatory reporting.

These updates strengthen the DDS lifecycle by protecting supplier-submitted data, improving risk visibility, and enabling direct submission to EU TRACES. Together, they support brands in managing compliance with greater confidence, control, and efficiency.
