As a Brand, you can now set a default CAP submission mode, Bulk or Progressive, and control it independently for Audits and Assessments. You can also set a more specific mode for an individual configuration. For example, you can set Audit CAPs to submit in Bulk while Assessment CAPs submit Progressively, at the same time, on the same account.
When initiating a CAP, you can override the configured mode for that specific CAP. The override applies only to that CAP and cannot be changed once the CAP is sent. Only users with permission to initiate a CAP can change the mode. Other users can see the configured mode but cannot change it.
If you select a mode different from the configured default, you are told what the default is and what changes for the supplier's submission and for your review. You can still proceed.
Any change to a submission mode setting applies only to future CAPs, so any CAPs already open, assessments already launched, and audits already ready for a CAP continue under their current setting. If Audits or Assessments already has its own explicit setting, that setting is also not affected by a brand-level change.
As a Supplier, you can see which submission mode a CAP is running in, since it changes how you submit your response.
Key Benefits for Brands
- Independent Control by Source: Set different CAP submission modes for Audits and Assessments, and for an individual configuration if needed, so each source can be closed the way that fits it best.
- Flexibility at the Point of Sending: Override the configured mode for a specific CAP when needed, with clear notice of what changes before you proceed.
- Full Visibility and Traceability: See which mode a CAP is running in and whether it was overridden, filter or export your CAP list by mode, and view the CAP type as a column and advanced filter in the On Demand Report.
- No Disruption to Existing Work: Nothing changes for your account after this update unless you configure it. Brands with no existing setting default to Bulk, and CAPs already in progress are unaffected.
Key Benefits for Suppliers
- Clear Submission Expectations: See which mode a CAP is running in, so you know whether to expect a single combined submission or individual submissions per finding.
This update lets brands manage Corrective Action Plans the way their audit and assessment programs actually work, closing findings as one package where that fits, and one at a time where it doesn't, without one setting forcing the same behavior everywhere.
