As a supplier responding to a Supply Chain Mapping request, the sourcing option selection experience has been improved to help you make the right selection with greater confidence. A new We buy this material ourselves option has been added and is pre-selected by default when you open a node for the first time.

Key Updates

  • A new default We buy this material ourselves option is now available, for use when you select and purchase the material from a supplier of your own choice
  • All sourcing option labels have been simplified for clarity
  • The dropdown header is now labelled How do you get this material?
  • Confirmation popups now appear when switching between sourcing options, with guidance on when to go back and reselect
  • A new info icon next to the dropdown header opens a reference panel showing all four sourcing options and their explanations
  • Switching between sourcing options no longer requires using Reset Node.

Key Benefits for Suppliers

  • Accurate Sourcing Declarations: The default pre-selection and simplified labels reduce the risk of incorrect sourcing declarations, improving supply chain data quality for brands.
  • Guided Option Switching: Confirmation pop-ups provide clear guidance when switching between sourcing options, helping you make informed selections without needing to reset the node.

These updates ensure suppliers can accurately declare their sourcing relationships with greater clarity and confidence, improving supply chain data accuracy across all brands.

Note: This same sourcing option experience also applies to PO Tracing requests (without declared SCM).
