Brands now have greater control over how suppliers select and declare facilities when responding to Supply Chain Mapping (SCM) requests.
The facility list available to suppliers in SCM responses now automatically reflects the Facility Visibility setting configured in Company Settings.
- Brand Created Facilities Only – Suppliers can select only brand-created facilities.
- All Facilities – Suppliers can select both brand-created facilities and supplier-created facilities associated with your suppliers.
- When Allow only facilities declared as used for your brand's production is enabled, suppliers can only select supplier-created facilities that have been declared as producing for your brand. Brand-created facilities are always available.
Additionally, brands can now prevent suppliers from declaring new facilities under the primary supplier in SCM responses. This restriction can be configured independently for each SCM configuration. When enabled, suppliers cannot save a response containing a newly declared primary supplier facility and are prompted to select an existing eligible facility instead, based on the configured Facility Visibility settings.
Note: This capability is available on request. Contact the TrusTrace Support team to enable it for your account.
Key Benefits for Brands
- Facility visibility aligned with your settings – Suppliers only see facilities that match your configured Facility Visibility preferences.
- Greater control over facility declarations – Prevent suppliers from adding new facilities under the primary supplier where required.
- Configuration-level flexibility – Enable or disable the restriction independently for each SCM configuration without impacting other workflows.
Key Benefits for Suppliers
- Simplified facility selection – Only eligible facilities are displayed, making it easier to choose the correct facility.
- Clear validation guidance – If a selected facility is not permitted, suppliers receive a clear message identifying the ineligible facility and prompting them to select an eligible alternative.
This enhancement helps improve the accuracy and consistency of supply chain data while giving brands greater control over facility visibility and declaration workflows.
Note: This same facility declaration experience also applies to PO Tracing requests (without declared SCM), including Facility Visibility settings and the option to restrict new facility declarations under the primary supplier.
