As a Supplier, when a node is not applicable to a product, you can now mark the node and all its connected upstream nodes as Not Applicable in a single action.

When you select Not applicable to this product, a confirmation is shown asking you to confirm that the component is truly not used in the product. Once confirmed, the selected node is marked Not Applicable, and all connected upstream nodes are marked Not Applicable and hidden from the supply chain view.

If you later revert the Not Applicable selection on the originally selected node, the upstream nodes that were hidden as part of that action will reappear as empty nodes. The nodes themselves are restored, but any previously declared details are not restored. You will need to declare the details again.

Key Benefits for Suppliers

  • Simplified Declaration: Mark an entire upstream chain as Not Applicable through a single confirmation instead of selecting each connected node individually.
  • Cleaner Supply Chain View: Connected upstream nodes that are not applicable to the product are hidden from the supply chain view, making it easier to focus on relevant nodes.
  • Easy to Revert: You can revert the Not Applicable selection on the originally selected node to bring the affected upstream nodes back when they become relevant again.
  • Clear Data Handling: Reverted upstream nodes reappear without their previous declarations, so suppliers can explicitly re-declare the information that is applicable.

This update makes it easier to manage Not Applicable components across connected supply chain nodes, while keeping the supply chain view focused on relevant nodes and allowing previously hidden upstream nodes to be restored when needed.
