As a Brand, you can now control the data source for your Map View in Supply Chain Mapping from the Map View Data Source setting in the Company Settings page. You can select to view:
- All Supply Chain Data available on the platform (Supplier declared data + Supplier & Facility Master Data),
- Show only declared data submitted by your suppliers for your own requests.
When Show Only Declared Data is selected:
- All map counts, pins, filters, and exports reflect your brand's declared data exclusively, with no cross-brand data, duplicates, or master data inflation
- Map counts match your BI Reports exactly for the same brand and filters applied
- Supplier and facility filter dropdown options show only suppliers and facilities declared in your own requests
A persistent information banner on the Map View always shows the active data source, so your team knows exactly what data they are viewing at any time.
Key Benefits for Brands
- Data You Can Trust: Map View counts, pins, and exports are fully aligned with your declared data, eliminating inflated counts and cross-brand data leakage.
- Consistent Reporting: Map View data matches your BI Reports exactly when the declared data preference is selected, removing discrepancies between views.
- Scoped Filters: Supplier and facility filter dropdown options show only data relevant to your requests, making it easier to find and analyse the right records.
- Transparent Data Source: The persistent banner keeps your team informed about the active data source at all times, reducing confusion when switching between data views.
This update gives brands greater control and confidence in their Map View data, ensuring the information displayed is accurate, brand-specific, and aligned with compliance and supply chain decision-making needs.
