As a Brand, you can now use ISO 3166-1 country codes when creating or updating supplier and facility master data through Excel upload or API. This eliminates country name mismatch errors that occur when data is synced from external systems that use ISO standard country names and codes.

A new optional country-code field is available in the Supplier and Facility Excel upload templates and API. The field accepts either a 2-letter code (for example, VN) or a 3-letter code (for example, VNM). When a valid country code is provided, the platform automatically resolves it to the corresponding country name and stores it against the record. If both a country code and a country name are provided, the country code is applied.

The following Excel templates are updated to include the new country-code column:

  • Import Suppliers
  • Edit Supplier Profile
  • Import Facilities
  • Edit Facility Profile

Country codes are supported only for Excel uploads and API. The UI continues to use country name selection when creating or editing supplier and facility records.

Key Benefits for Brands

  • Seamless External System Integration: Sync supplier and facility master data from external systems that use ISO country codes without encountering country name mismatch errors.
  • Flexible Format Support: Use either 2-letter or 3-letter ISO country codes based on what your external system provides, without maintaining a separate country mapping index.
  • Reduced Manual Effort: Country names are automatically resolved from the code provided, eliminating the need for manual correction or support intervention during data sync.

This update ensures that brands using external systems for master data management can sync country information to the platform accurately and without disruption, reducing integration overhead and support dependency.
