Capturing the Movement of Style or Material
Your suppliers can now capture the movement of style or material between your subcontractors, agents, and other suppliers. Transfer has been introduced as a new transaction type to mimic real-world scenarios (for example, the movement of inbound Yarn from a T2 supplier to a T2 Subcontractor).
With this release, your supplier will be able to record the transfer of inbound style or material lot through the Transfer type of transaction. A transferred lot is stored as a transferred inbound lot to the transferred supplier, agent, or subcontractor which can then be used for production or transferred to another facility or to your brand. To understand the validations for the Transfer transaction, refer to the Transactions Validations and Validations Applicable for Each Transaction Type sections in the User Guide.
Note: If the Transfer option is not enabled for your supplier account, they will contact you for assistance.
Following is the sample image for recording the Transfer transaction using the user interface. In this scenario, a fabric supplier has utilized the Transfer feature to record a transaction where the fabric was transferred to a sub-contractor of the garment supplier.
Following is the sample image illustrating the tree view of a transaction that includes the Transfer transaction type.
Requesting Your Brand to Add Upstream Suppliers on the Platform
You can initiate a supplier addition request to your brand, requesting the inclusion of your upstream suppliers on the platform for recording transactions. Your brand can either accept or reject your request. Upon your brand's approval, an invitation will be sent to the upstream supplier, inviting them to sign up for the platform. Post signs up, they can proceed to record transactions.
