As a Brand, you can now consistently view the brand-managed supplier name within Supply Chain Mapping (SCM), even if suppliers update their names in their Company Profile. Previously, supplier-updated names replaced the brand-defined names set during onboarding, which created confusion when searching for or filtering suppliers. With this enhancement, the supplier name defined by the brand will always be displayed in the SCM view for brands, ensuring that supplier updates do not override the brand-managed naming.
Key Benefits
- Consistent Supplier Identification: The brand-managed supplier name is applied across SCM, including the List view, Tree view, Map and Network views, and Excel Exports, providing a unified supplier identity.
- More Accurate Search and Filtering: All supplier name searches and filters now match only against brand-managed names, supporting faster and more accurate supplier identification.
- Improved Usability for Brands: Standardized naming makes supplier information easier to search, review, and analyze, particularly when multiple variations of a supplier’s name exist.
- No Impact on Supplier Experience: Suppliers continue to view and manage their own self-declared name, while brands maintain the supplier name defined during onboarding.
- Enhanced Data Quality and Reporting: A consistent naming convention improves the accuracy of SCM data, exports, and downstream reporting.
This update maintains clarity in supplier identification, prevents naming mismatches, and improves the accuracy of search, filtering, and reporting across all SCM workflows.
